Tools for Text
Text is the most common representation of the curriculum in schools today. However, premade text is not accessible to many students due to various issues (reading level, decoding issues, second language, etc.) Two examples of how UDL can lower barriers for students is the use of tools that assist with cognitive rescaling as well as supporting the student shift in the way “reading occurs” through a speech-to-text tool.
